Five Epigenetics Conferences to put on your 2020 Calendar!
Attending conferences can be one of the best ways to stay up-to-date on current research and network within the industry. Here are five epigenetic-specific conferences happening in 2020 to take note of as we start the new year! Click here to see our complete list of epigenetics conferences in 2020.
January 26 – 30, 2020
Keystone Symposia in Keystone, USA
Cancer Epigenetics: New Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities
Joint with Gene Regulation: From Mechanisms to Disease
Organizers | Keynote Speakers |
Cigall Kadoch, PhD | Karen Adelman, PhD |
Christopher Vakoc, MD, PhD | Shelley L. Berger, PhD |
Kick-off the first month of the decade with epigenetics! As long as spaces are available, you can register up to the day of the event. If this timeline is too soon for you, don’t worry! Keystone is hosting another epigenetics related conference in early March of 2020, entitled B Cell Renaissance: Epigenetics, Regulation and Immunotherapy.
May 31 – June 5, 2020
Gordon Research Conference in Castelldefels, Spain
Chromatin Modifications, RNA and Metabolism
Organizers
Asifa Akhtar, PhD
Geeta J. Narlikar, PhD
There are over 300 Gordon Research Conferences or Seminars each year, covering a wide span of topics from physics and engineering to biology and human health. The 200 attendees at the Chromatin Modifications, RNA and Metabolism Conference will be selected by the committee chair from a pool of applicants. Applications are open now until May 3rd; however, seats are filled on a rolling basis so be sure to apply early!
June 21 – 26, 2020
FASEB Conference in Sicily, Italy
Biological Methylation: Fundamental Mechanism in Human Health and Disease
Organizers | Keynote Speakers |
Ernesto Guccione, PhD | Cheryl Arrowsmith, PhD |
Robert Schneider, PhD | Steven Clarke, PhD |
Clare Davies, PhD | |
Kai Ge, PhD |
The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) hosts all of its Science Research Conferences (or SRCs) in the summer between late April and early August. This meeting is a great compliment to last year’s protein acetylation meeting in Portugal.
September 14 – 18, 2020
Cold Spring Harbor Meeting in Long Island, USA
Organizers | Keynote Speakers |
Anja Groth, PhD | Shelley L. Berger, PhD |
Kristian Helin, PhD | Richard Young, PhD |
Yang Shi, PhD |
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will also host a sister conference in Suzhou, China held May 4-8 focusing on Chromatin, Epigenetics & Transcription. For those who are newer to the epigenetics field, you may be interested in applying to the Chromatin, Epigenetics, and Gene Expression Course held July 21 – August 3. This immersive course is a great way to gain hands-on experience with the various methodologies used to study gene regulation and chromatin biology.
November 8 – 11, 2020
EpiCypher 2020 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Biological & Clinical Frontiers in Epigenetics
Organizers | Keynote Speakers |
Mark Bedford, PhD | Kristian Helin, PhD |
Or Gozani, PhD | Steven Henikoff, PhD |
Brian Strahl, PhD |
Every other year, EpiCypher’s scientific founders organize an epigenetics conference, bringing together leaders in academia, biotechnology, and pharma who are at the forefront of the field. Talks will feature a blend of academia and industry professionals to discuss the latest findings in epigenetics. This year’s meeting will be held in a beautiful beachfront all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
