YEATS domains recognize histone lysine acyl PTMs, with a preference for crotonylation over acetylation (PMID:27105114). The binding activity of YEATS domain-containing proteins are of significant interest in biomedical research, as they are common targets of gene translocation and MLL-gene fusions in leukemia. EpiCypher offers a comprehensive set of recombinant human YEATS domains representing the entire YEATS protein family: ENL, AF9, GAS41, and YEATS2, as well as an ENL mutant that lacks H3K9ac binding activity (PMID:28241139 & PMID:28241141).
